  • How much can I claim working from home – self-employed?

    Self employed traders can claim a portion of the actual costs for working from home (i.e. heat, light, water, mortgage interest etc.) Alternatively, they can use simplified expenses which allow a flat rate per month based on the number of hours worked from home.Β

  • Can I buy electric vehicle through my company - as a sole trader?

  • When do I need to register business with HMRC?

    Sole traders must register their business with HMRC by 5 October following the end of the tax year that they commenced trading.
